Shift's Annual Clothing Swap to Benefit a local Cause
May 30 from 5:30 - 7:30

Rules for the Swap:
1. Clean out your closets, and bring your clean, lightly worn, stylish and no-longer-useful-to-you clothes, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories.

2. Come to Shift on May 30th early for the best selection.

3. Pay $10 to participate in the Swap.

4. Find great stuff that other stylish women no longer want, and walk away a very happy woman.

All of the proceeds will be donated to the production of a documentary entitled Embracing Nepal by local girl Augusta Rose and her cohort Mary-Frances White. The leftover clothing will be donated to a non-profit organization or group of our choice.
Embracing Nepal:
A Documentary

In the most remote areas of Nepal, there are thousands of children who face lives of abuse, starvation, slavery, and no chance of education. They have no governmental support, on a local or national level. This is because they are a part of the lowest caste in the Hindu caste system and are deemed "untouchable." This caste system prevents the Nepalese people from coming together as a whole, decreases the quality of life for their children, and limits possibilities for their future.

This film has the potential to inform large audiences across the world of the situation in Nepal, and inspire people to contribute to its cause. The impact of this documentary will not only educate people about the way of life in this beautiful, sacred land, but also brighten the futures of the children of Nepal.

Augusta and Mary-Frances have collaborated with the non-profit Ecopolitan.
