The label is backed by designers Davora Lindner and Camilla Eckersley, two teenage rebels from the midwest who “were struck by the New Romantic music movement in London and the East Village art scene in New York.”

Their mission of creating “Non-conformist uniforms for cool working women,” is one of many reasons they've been so incredibly successful with women who need comfortable stylish clothing for work and play.

Launched in 2004 in Seattle, Washington the two women support a network of sewing contractors in Seattle and all of their production is subcontracted to local sew shops. The majority of their fabric which is primarily organic is knitted in the United States.
